Speak Up, a national online research project facilitated by Project Tomorrow (formerly Net Day), gives individuals the opportunity to share their viewpoints about key educational issues. As of the survey's ending on December 21, 202 students, 45 teachers, 54 parents, and 8 school leaders had completed surveys.

Results Summary:
With mostly students voting (51%), the Traditional Yearly Schedule (59%) and the current Semester Block Daily Schedule (53%) each won out with the largest percentage of the vote.
When the choices are combined as a unit, Semester Block, Traditional stills received the largest share of the votes with 35%, but there was also strong voting for Semester Block, Year-Round with 18%, 6 Periods Year-Long, Traditional with 12%, 6 Periods Year-Long, Year-Round with 11%, and 7 Periods Year-Long, Traditional with 10%.
Interestingly Alumni, Faculty, Students, and Visitors prefer the Semester Block, Traditional schedules while Parents preferred the 6 Periods Year-Long, Year-Round (31%) schedule.
