Welcome to McDowell High School, which is located in the foothills of Western North Carolina. Our school serves all students of McDowell County in grades ten through twelve. Because of our progress in academic achievement, we have been recognized as one of the leaders in education in the state. Our staff is well-prepared for instruction, and since we have low turnover, the experience level is high. Those of us who work here consider the area a great place to live and raise our families.
